– 3D renders

During my time at Generation Tux I had the privilege to work on many amazing projects. Ranging from photo editing, photography, videography and more. But my favorite of them all was creating 3D assets for the website and Visualizer.

The Visualizer was a project that took real life assets and converted them into 3D. This was done so that the customer–when creating a “look” on the website–could visually see the type of suit they selected, shirt, shoes, belt, etc. All these 3D components would come together and build a look in real time.

My job was to take the real life assets (shirts, jackets, shoes, belts, cufflinks, etc.) and convert them into their 3D variants. Our goal was to create something real enough to make the customer think they were looking at real photographs of the products. I was then tasked with creating a pipeline that would easily be controlled by the developers to render out the images and make sure everything was aligned. That way when it came to compositing–everything could be done automatically.

Below are some of the results from the explorations and final results I achieved.

Style guide

Before switching over to the dev team–I worked along side the marketing team. While on the marketing side of the business I was tasked with creating content for social media, editing product shots, taking photographs, video, etc. One of the major reworks I worked on was the “Style Guide.”

The Style Guide was a paper/digital book used to help B2B partners show their customers what suits, tuxes, and other à la carte items we sold. The other purpose was to inform the customer/partner of the key differences between the suits and tuxedos.

The shadows

These are some snippets of projects that were worked on, but ended up scrapped never seeing the light of day. Some of this work is more experimental and unfinished, but shows thought process.

Work-in-progress for “collection hub.” Working out how to layer the information.

3D cloth creation. I was working out how to take real photos of the cloth and create a seamless pattern to use as a material in a 3D scene. These were then taken into Blender and used on 3D models.

A B2B venture with KFC. Creating suits, bowties, cufflinks, and other accessories for a prom look.

Imagery created for a Spotify campaign. Leading to a curated playlist for any kind of wedding.

In-House photoshoot for ASPCA. I was in charge of photography and styling. (RAW image shown here)
